We recovered £160,000.00 in compensation

A client of Oliver & Co was a victim of a road traffic accident in which they were a passenger. The car veered off the road, into a central barrier and launched into the air. The client suffered lots of serious injuries, including a broken wrist, arm scarring and minor hearing loss from an ear injury. As well as that, he also suffered psychological injuries. Unfortunately, his injuries meant he was unable to work for many years following the accident. He required surgery and underwent counselling which we helped him arrange, that helped him greatly. The claim was made against the insurance company of the driver of the car.

We secured £160,000.00 settlement in compensation for him to help with the physical and mental effects of the major road traffic accident.

£72,000.00 compensation awarded

Oliver & Co recently acted for a client who was cycling on a road when he became a victim of a road traffic accident. The Defendant driver attempted to cross our client’s path, causing him to collide with the vehicle and be thrown off his bike and over the top of the vehicle. Our client sustained a head injury, facial scarring, and injuries to his knee and shoulder. We helped this client in recovering compensation for past and future losses, including damaged equipment, medical costs including surgery, private physiotherapy and medication, as well as care and assistance and loss of earnings for both the past and future.

In these scenarios, a family member or appropriate associated person can be appointed to act as a ‘Litigation Friend’, to protect the victim’s interests. We would then correspond with and take instructions from this appointed person.
