Since joining Oliver & Co Solicitors as a personal injury solicitor more than 20 years ago, I have not looked back. At the time Oliver & Co was a very traditional high street practice with only 25 staff and one personal injury fee earner. I worked extremely hard and long hours with my colleague David Owen to expand the department whilst handling a large case load.

My hard work paid off and I was asked to become a Partner in 2003. Having worked in other firms, I realise that you are only as good as your staff. I am very proud of all our staff and believe that we offer our clients a first-class service. As for the firm, it has changed dramatically in the last few years. We now have over 80 staff, we are a limited company and are able to offer a broad range of legal services.

In October 2022, we transferred Oliver & Co to 100% employee ownership – a business model that is based on the philosophy that the people that we work with all have a valuable contribution to make and deserve an equal stake and say in the business. The benefits of employee ownership are felt by employees, the business and its customers, as well as the wider community.  I am delighted that David Owen, fellow director, and I can now steer Oliver & Co into this new chapter.
