I qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and have specialised in assisting road traffic collision victims for the last 17 years. I joined Oliver & Co in 2006 and have headed up the Road Traffic Team, later becoming an Associate Director in 2012.
I am a proud member of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) and actively engage in supporting safety on the roads through campaigning, as well as being instrumental in our support of charities such as the Amputation Foundation and RoadPeace.
My years of experience have allowed me to focus on what is really important to my clients, which is the access to unrivalled legal expertise, support with early and best rehabilitation, and a determination to fight their corner to ensure they are properly compensated to allow victims to rebuild their lives.
Throughout my career, I have dealt with clients who have suffered minor injuries through to serious injury or death, often dealing with unusual and complex injury cases. Always adopting a practical approach to solutions and the availability for a friendly chat, communication is the key to the service I provide.
Over the years, I have built up a bank of tried and tested legal counsel, rehabilitation providers and medical experts. In complex cases, I am often supported by our in-house dual-qualified doctor and lawyer, Linda Schermer-Jones, whose medical expertise provides us with an advantage that is extremely rare amongst solicitors’ firms throughout the country. This access to a network of expertise often results in tactical, legal and medical advantages for victims which can very often can tip the balance in their case.
My recent work highlights include settling a claim for an above elbow amputee for £3,000,000.00, an above knee amputee for over £2,300,000 including interim payments for prosthetics and a client who suffered spinal fractures and a traumatic brain injury for over £500,000.00.
In my free time, I enjoy nothing more than a long walk along the beach with my family, cooking for family and friends, the cinema and Christmas.
