Viv McGreary

I joined Oliver & Co on 2nd January 1991 as a junior secretary, following a 5 year hairdressing apprenticeship and then a year’s college course. I worked my way up to become Personal Assistant to one of the Senior Partners and founder of Oliver & Co, Angela Oliver. I carried out numerous varied tasks alongside Angela, until she retired in 2009. I continued to work in the Family Department assisting our Child Care Solicitor, until she left the firm to become a Barrister. I continued working in the Family Department until October 2021.

I currently work for the Residential Conveyancing Department. My main duties include opening files, carrying out AML checks, typing, assisting with applications to the Land Registry and closing files. I thoroughly enjoy working with the Conveyancing Team as they are extremely professional, efficient, helpful and friendly.

I enjoy watching professional football with my husband and son and we attend matches when possible. Much of my time is taken up with my son’s football with Chester Nomads, and he is also attending a 2 year course at the Steven Gerrard Football Academy. We have a campervan and love camping with friends and my husband and I attend festivals during the spring and summer months.
