Olivia Haslam

Paralegal

About me

I joined Oliver & Co in 2018, a few weeks after my final exams in High School and have worked here since. I began working in Reception and New Business, then joined the Clinical Negligence Department as the firms first Paralegal Apprentice.  I completed my studies and qualified as a Paralegal in 2021.

During my time within the Clinical Negligence Department, it was my job to ensure I learnt all I could, not only about the experiences which may have led a person to us, but to account for the full picture of how they and those around them, may have been affected by the life changing consequences medical negligence can bring.  I dedicated myself to making the process of claiming for compensation as easy and stress-free as possible, whilst being empathetic and considerate to the stresses of such a significant life change, in the hope that I could find the answers those affected by clinical negligence were seeking.

In October 2024 I moved to the Wills and Probate Department as a Paralegal, with a view to begin the Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme in January 2025.

I will be assisting the team with drafting simple and more complicated Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Declarations of Trust and assisting in estate administration matters.

I’m an avid reader and spend most of my time with my head in a book, I also enjoy travelling and seek out the sunshine whenever I can.
