Hannah Higson

Trainee Solicitor

About me

I joined Oliver & Co Solicitors in September 2018 after studying Criminology at the University of Chester. Criminal Law was always something I was interested in; however, I wasn’t certain it would be the right career path for me. I therefore decided that the best way to solve my problem would be to gain some experience in a law firm. After a year of being a part of the Oliver & Co team, my passion and interest in law increased so much that I decided to enrol myself onto the GDL conversion course. I completed this in the summer of 2021 with a ‘Commendation’.

Since 2021, I have completed my LPC studies, obtaining a grade ‘Distinction’ and have been delighted to receive a training contract at Oliver & Co. I will therefore qualify as a solicitor in October 2025.

Having spent the first 12 months of my training contract in our Wills & Probate and Industrial Disease departments, I am now delving into the world of Residential Conveyancing for my third seat.

My role in essentially to ensure that we provide the best customer service possible and ensure our clients have a trouble free and smooth property transaction. This involves speaking with clients to discuss their transaction and answer any queries, draft the necessary legal documents, and liaise with third parties. My aim is to ensure that our clients have a clear understanding of the conveyancing process and are kept informed on the progress of their transaction throughout.

Outside of work, I love a long walk with my pet dog, Mabel and watching as much sport as I possibly can.
