Trainee Solicitor

About me

I joined Oliver & Co Solicitors in September 2018 after studying Criminology at the University of Chester. Criminal Law was always something I was interested in; however, I wasn’t certain it would be the right career path for me. I therefore decided that the best way to solve my problem would be to gain some experience in a law firm. After a year of being a part of the Oliver & Co team, my passion and interest in law increased so much that I decided to enrol myself onto the GDL conversion course. I completed this in the summer of 2021 with a ‘Commendation’.

Since 2021, I have completed my LPC studies, obtaining a grade ‘Distinction’ and have been delighted to receive a training contract at Oliver & Co. I will therefore qualify as a solicitor in October 2025.

I spent the first six months of my training contract in our Wills & Probate department, and I am now currently completing my second seat in the Industrial Disease department. My role in the team is to run the initial stages of a potential asbestos disease claim. This involves speaking with clients to collate the information needed to assess a claim, reviewing their medical records, and conducting company research into their previous employers. I also assist our specialist solicitors with their caseload on a daily basis to ensure the claim is progressed as quickly as possible.

My aim is to help the team achieve the best possible results for our clients during what is often an extremely difficult time for all involved.

Outside of work, I love a long walk with my pet dog, Mabel and watching as much sport as I possibly can.
