I am a Director at Oliver & Co Solicitors. We are a firm which specialises in a wide variety of legal areas: Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Industrial Disease, Family Law, Wills & Probate, Conveyancing, Corporate and Commercial Law and Commercial Property. I have more than 30 years of experience as a solicitor, which has helped me, together with others, to manage and grow Oliver & Co into the successful firm it is today.
I joined Oliver & Co Solicitors in 2000 as the only solicitor handling Personal Injury (PI) cases. Since then, the PI department has grown from strength to strength and into an extremely successful team, helping people make all types of compensation claims, including claims for clinical negligence, road traffic accidents, asbestos disease, accidents at work and product liability. These days, our highly experienced and trained team deals with almost every type of claim that arises.
As Oliver & Co has continued to grow, I have become more involved with the management and business development of the firm. I am proud to have instigated some key initiatives including developing business and marketing strategies; subscribing to an independent review platform to showcase our client experience; leading a firm-wide corporate social responsibility programme; contributing to successful local networking groups; investing in a specialist company conveyancing app and text survey feedback system and more.
However, the proudest moments for me was when Oliver & Co became a 100% employee owned business on October 18th 2022. Our employees now own 100% of the business. This felt like a natural progression for the firm for myself and my fellow Director, Kay Cook, and one which will secure the business for the future.
Oliver & Co is the first law firm in Chester and North Wales to become employee owned and is the largest law firm in the North West of England to make the move to employee ownership. These are exciting times and together with our amazing workforce, I continue to strive to make Oliver & Co the best firm it can possibly be.
I am a committed runner and enjoy listening to all types of music. I also enjoy watching rugby and going to the cinema.
