Life at Oliver & Co isn’t all work and no play, but much like every other area of life, the Oliver & Co social calendar has been on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With life starting to return to normal, on Friday 27th May we were able to resume our annual staff summer party with over 40 members of staff in attendance.
Popcorn Bar Chester provided the perfect venue for staff to reunite, with some members of staff not having seen any of their colleagues since we went into lockdown due to home working, and some colleagues never even having met each other.
Staff new and old had the chance to catch up, put names to faces, make new friends and just have fun and let their hair down together for the first time in years. It was a chance to celebrate everyone’s hard work outside of the office.
It of course would not be a party without some games. We played beer pong (even our managing director, David, got involved), Jenga, flip cup and many more games. Beer pong and flip cup brought out the competitive ‘athletes’ amongst us with the games being taken as seriously as professional sport for some staff members.
Our food was catered for by the amazing ‘Skanky’s’ – we love to support small businesses.
A huge thank you to both Popcorn for their amazing hospitality and ‘Skanky’s’ for their incredibly tasty food. These two businesses worked seamlessly together to ensure our first summer party post Covid was one to remember.
Here’s to many more social events and opportunities to build not only professional relationships, but personal, lifelong friendships too.
