Every year our staff choose a Charity of the Year, this is a charity that we pledge to support and concentrate our fundraising and volunteering efforts on. For the past 12 months we have been proud to support The Joshua Tree, a local charity helping families affected by childhood cancer and raise £7,091.50. This will help them continue to provide emotional support, counselling, therapy and wellbeing programmes to those who need it.
Our Charity of the Year for 2026/27: Hope House Children’s Hospice
As we head into our new financial year, we’re delighted to announce our new Charity of the Year for 2026/27 is Hope House Children’s Hospice.
Hope House supports babies, children, and young people with life-threatening conditions, as well as the families who care for them. They work alongside the NHS to provide compassionate, holistic care focused on quality of life, comfort and emotional wellbeing.
Each year, they support hundreds of local families, offering a warm, homely environment where precious time can be spent together away from hospital settings. With facilities including specially designed bedrooms, sensory rooms, accessible play areas and peaceful outdoor spaces, every detail is thoughtfully created to promote joy, dignity and independence for children, while giving families the support and space they need during some of life’s most challenging moments.
Care That Supports the Whole Family
Families supported by Hope House receive help at every stage of their journey. From counselling, family events and specialist therapies such as hydrotherapy and physiotherapy, to respite stays, symptom management and end‑of‑life care, Hope House ensures that no family has to face incredibly difficult moments alone. Their support continues even after loss, offering compassionate bereavement care when it is needed most.
Supporting Families Across the Region
Hope House operates from multiple locations, including Hope House in Oswestry, Ty Gobaith near Conwy, and two counselling centres in Oswestry and Conwy, allowing them to support families across the region when they need it most.
Oliver & Co’s Year of Fundraising
As part of our CSR programme, we’ll be running a calendar of fundraising events throughout the year to raise both funds and awareness for Hope House Children’s Hospice. By coming together as a team and a community, we hope to make a meaningful difference for the families they support.
From team challenges and community events to company-wide initiatives, we’ll be working together throughout the year to raise both vital funds and awareness for Hope House Children’s Hospice.
