Oliver & Co have received a special thanks for the support they provide the Hospice of the Good Shepherd through their monthly Will Clinic. Having supported the scheme for over seven years, and raising a total of £50,625 in that time, the team at Oliver & Co were delighted to receive a statement of thanks which included a personal message from the hospice’s Director of Income Generation, Caroline Siddall:

“It’s always particularly special for the team here at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd when people offer their amazing skills and experience as well as their time to support our work.
“The team at Oliver & Co has become one of our most committed and loyal supporters, not just offering their legal expertise on an occasional basis but every single month for over seven years, reliably, consistently and with real professionalism.
“Hundreds of individuals and couples have benefitted from the Will Clinics that are organised here at the hospice by the Oliver & Co team.
Donate their time and expertise free of charge
“The wonderful solicitors donate their time and expertise completely free of charge, offering immense value, clarity and peace of mind to those who sign up for a will-making appointment.
“In exchange, those clients make a donation direct to the hospice: a minimum £180 for a single person and £250 for a couple, representing superb value for the clients and welcome additional income for the hospice.
“In the last six months alone, 38 couples and individuals have had their wills drawn up by the Oliver & Co experts, contributing £8,600 to our work at a time when generating regular income has become more important to us than ever before.
Since the Oliver & Co team became involved, they have helped us raise a total of £50,625. A truly amazing total.
Regular income is vital
“Cost of living and other increases have added £1 million to our annual running costs with not a penny extra coming from the Government,” said the hospice’s Director of Income Generation, Caroline Siddall. “That’s why regular income such as we receive from the will clinics is so vital to us at this time.”
In a message to the Oliver & Co team, Caroline said: “We are immensely grateful for what you do for us. Every penny that you help us generate through your commitment and generosity goes directly to caring for people when they are at their most vulnerable, ill and afraid, helping them to make the very best of that final chapter of their lives, and supporting their families in a way that no other provider can.”
