The Supermarket Accident
Our client slipped on a pool of water near the fridge and meal-deal area of the store. As she fell, she struck her face on the shopping basket she was carrying before landing heavily on her right-hand side.
Following the accident, she experienced bruising to both knees, pain in her right hand and thumb, and ongoing problems with her right shoulder.
Medical Treatment and Evidence

- an examination by an independent orthopaedic specialist
The medical evidence confirmed that our client had suffered soft tissue injuries as a result of the fall.
Liability Accepted by the Supermarket
The claim alleged that the supermarket had failed to keep the floor area safe and had not identified or removed the water hazard before the accident occurred.
Responsibility for the accident was accepted by the supermarket, allowing the claim to proceed towards settlement.
