Oliver & Co shortlisted for Firm of the Year (North)

Earlier this week we announced that we have been shortlisted for the Community Involvement Award at The British Wills and Probate Awards 2020.

We weren’t happy being shortlisted in just one category and we are ecstatic to announce that we have also been shortlisted for Solicitor Firm of the Year (North) in the same awards.

Regional Firm of the Year

The Firm of the Year has  been split into three regions, North, Midlands and South. We are extremely pleased to have been shortlisted in the North category.

The award is for the firm who has shown all round excellence in Wills, Probate and Estate Management. To be shortlisted we had to show that we are developing and progressing as a business, working in the best interests of our clients.

Expert solicitors

Head of our Wills and Probate Department, Louise Holmes, is one of the few solicitors in the local area with a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) diploma. This means she is better qualified to deal with complex issues that might arise in Trust and Estate Administration. She is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and is a Community Ambassador for the Cheshire Living Well Dying Well Partnership.

Commitment to client service

We are committed to providing the highest standards of client care and pride ourselves on being approachable, taking the stress away from our clients and guiding them through the legal issues.

We tailor our service to each individual client and at the end of the matter, we believe that our communication skills are key to building and maintaining a strong, trusted relationship with our clients.

Rated excellent on Trustpilot

Every company wants to say they are great but we don’t expect anyone to just take our word for it. At the end of a matter we invite our clients to leave reviews on Trustpilot. To date we have almost 500 reviews and are rated excellent with a score of 4.9 out of 5.

Business Development

As a whole, Oliver & Co has grown significantly over the last 18 months and our Wills and Probate Department has seen the most growth over the last year. During the COVID-19 lockdown, they were working throughout to ensure people were able to get their affairs in order.

Giving back to the community

As evidenced in our shortlisting for the Community Involvement Award, here at Oliver and Co we try to give back as much as we can. Our Wills and Probate Department work closely with the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, hosting a monthly Will Clinic where our usual fee is waived so that people can make a donation to the Hospice instead. This scheme has raised almost £9,000 for the Hospice so far.

Wish us luck!

To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is amazing and we cannot wait for the virtual awards ceremony in October when the winners will be announced – wish us luck!
