On Monday 14th November 2022,Tim Polding, Head of Corporate and Commercial Department will be presenting at the Kieba Property Forum event at Crabwall Manor to property developers, property investors and property professionals.
Tim will be speaking to the attendees about the commercial (as opposed to the property) aspects of a development project, including the importance of getting legal advice on the way in which a development is funded, whether you are a developer controlling the project or a private investor looking for a return on a cash injection. Tim will also be touching on:
- The advantages of acquiring property in a limited company rather than in personal names
- Ensuring that the terms of any investment by a third-party lender are properly documented and secured – loan agreement, legal charge and/or personal guarantee
- The importance of a joint venture agreement to create a framework for the obligations and rights of those involved, where there is more than one party actively participating in a development project and sharing the profits.
