Our client experienced pain in one of his upper front teeth and was advised by his dentist that he needed root canal treatment, which he agreed to. During the procedure, the dentist informed our client that he had a root fracture and needed to have the tooth removed. However, our client sought a second opinion and discovered that his tooth’s root had been perforated during the root canal treatment.
Outcome & Dental Intervention
Unfortunately, the damage caused during the treatment meant the tooth could not be saved, leading to its extraction. Our client then underwent implant placement, followed by a crown to restore the missing tooth.
Pursuing a Claim
With the support of expert dental evidence, we sent a letter of claim outlining the allegations of negligence to the Defendant. Despite clear evidence, the Defendant firmly denied liability. In response, we held a meeting with our expert, a Barrister, and our client to discuss the case further. We challenged the Defendant’s denial, but they continued to maintain their position.
Successful Compensation
Despite the Defendant’s firm denial, we were able to secure £8,000 for our client to compensate for the loss of his tooth and the subsequent treatment.
A Very Happy Client
Our client was extremely pleased with the result of the claim and wrote this review on Google:
“I have a very good experience with Oliver and Co Solicitors. Liz was very supportive and professional during my claim’s long journey. Liz always responded to my e-mails promptly and made an appointment to talk to me if I had a question. I definitely recommend Liz. I’m very happy with the outcome.”
