Maria Pilkington who heads up our Personal Injury Team has recently been successful in obtaining compensation for Mr C aged 69 who resides in France in relation to an accident which occurred when he tripped whilst walking his dog whilst walking along the pavement whilst staying in London.
Our client stubbed his toe against a raised paving slab that was sticking up and fell forward, landing heavily on his right side.
A claim for compensation was brought against Hammersmith and Fulham London Borough Council.
A claim was submitted to the council through the Ministry of Justice Claims Portal and the Defendant council admitted liability – responsibility for the accident.
The Claimant sustained an injury to his right shoulder and right elbow in the fall.
To be able to assess the value of your claim a medical report was obtained from an Orthopaedic Surgeon and also from a Shoulder Specialist who confirmed what our client’s injuries were and giving a prognosis.
