Burn Injuries – £4,000 in Compensation

Our 26-year-old client was involved in an accident at work when he was working as a decorating auditor. He was changing machine parts when a very hot piece of molten glass came through the section of the machine he was changing. It struck him on the back of his head stretching round by his ears landing on his right thigh.

Although he was wearing personal protective equipment ‘PPE’, he still suffered burn injuries to his head/face/ears and right thigh. Liability for the accident was admitted by the employer’s insurers and luckily our client made a full recovery from his injuries. Settlement of his claim was agreed between the parties and our client was awarded more than £4,000 to compensate for his injuries and financial losses including his loss of earnings.
