Can I still make a Will during Lockdown 2?

Oliver & Co have remained open throughout the pandemic and will remain open during the second lockdown due on Thursday. We are proud to say we will continue to help our clients during these difficult and very challenging times. We have adapted and made changes to the way we work. These changes have enabled us to continue to offer our high level of client service.

The Wills and Probate Department understand that clients, now more than ever, are wanting to ensure that everything is in place should the unfortunate happen. We will continue to help clients with their Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and probate matters during lockdown to help take some of the worry away.

We are still operating, even if it is a little differently. We are still arranging telephone appointments or video meetings and in cases where a client needs our help to be able to sign important documents, we are arranging face to face meetings. A Will is an important document and is considered an essential journey to come and see your solicitor for assistance with this. We are fortunate to have a large meeting room which enables us to social distance. We wear face coverings and ensure that the room is cleaned and aired between appointments.

If you prefer to sign your will at home and with a neighbour then we are able to provide clear guidance as to how to sign this important document correctly.

We are keeping up to date with the government guidelines and any changes being made specifically in relation to Wills & Probate as a result of the lockdown.

If you would like to do a Will, Lasting Powers of Attorney or if a loved one has passed away and you need some guidance please call us on 01244 312 306.
