APIL Occupational and Asbestos Disease Specialist Accreditations Awarded to Oliver & Co Solicitor

James Cameron, Specialist Industrial Disease Solicitor at Oliver & Co has succeeded in obtaining the Association of Personal Injury Lawyer’s s (APIL) Occupational Disease Specialist and Asbestos Disease Specialist accreditations for his work in this highly specialist field.

Part of an elite group of specialist lawyers

As one of only 77 solicitors in the UK awarded with both accreditations, James joins an elite group of specialist lawyers who are recognised by APIL as experienced specialists in these areas of law. The APIL accreditations are awarded to those who have shown that they achieve a particularly high standard of expertise and competence in this complex area of litigation.

Helping families during the most difficult time of their lives

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2006, James has specialised in occupational and asbestos disease cases on behalf of sufferers and their families for the last 17 years. He has a passion for this area of law and considers it a privilege to be able to help clients and their families at what is often the most difficult time in their lives.

Fantastic feedback from his clients

On receiving the accreditation, James stated: “To receive my accreditation from APIL for the work that I have completed for hundreds of clients over this time is a proud moment for me and makes all the hard work worthwhile. Rewardingly, I have received regular, fantastic feedback from my clients over this time, but to receive added respect and recognition for my work from such a fantastic organisation and my peers, only adds to this and I will continue to use my experience for the benefit of my future clients and their families.”

James represents clients based nationwide and abroad and is one of only two specialist asbestos disease solicitors in the Cheshire area to hold APIL accreditations as a recognised senior litigator and occupational and asbestos disease specialist.

Recovering consistently high awards for his clients

James added, “Working in this area over recent years has become even more rewarding as we not only recover consistently high awards of compensation for our clients, but we regularly recover private treatment costs from our clients’ past employers or their insurers, providing them with access to the gold standard of care available to help fight against their diagnosed asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma.”

Covering private treatment costs often improves clients’ quality of life and outcomes

“Such treatment, including immunotherapy, can be very expensive indeed, often running into the hundreds of thousands of pounds for a 12-month course of treatment, all of which is covered as part of the settlements I have secured for my clients, often improving their quality of life and outcomes. I am looking forward to passing on my knowledge and passion for the work to others at our firm. The more people we can help who have been affected by these devastating diseases the better.”

Needless to say, we are proud to have such an experienced, well-respected specialist lawyer at our firm, who will no doubt continue to help many sufferers and their families affected by these awful diseases in the future. If you are looking for excellent service and require specialist occupational or asbestos disease compensation advice, look no further than contacting James.
