Falling in Icy Conditions at Work – £2,250 in Compensation

We won £2,250 for a client who injured their neck after falling in icy conditions at work

Our client sustained soft tissue injuries to his neck when he parked in the company car park where he worked. It was very cold and icy as there had been heavy snow several days earlier. Unfortunately, the company (who operated 24 hours a day) had not cleared any of the ice or used grit despite a large number of workers using the car park.

Because of this, the company had broken their duty of care to our client, as they did not provide him with a safe place to work. Eventually, the company admitted responsibility for the accident. We were able to successfully negotiate a good settlement of £2,250 for our client.
