Supporting Spinal Cord Awareness Day as Proud Business Members of the Spinal Injuries Association

At Oliver & Co Solicitors, we are proud to continue to support those affected by spinal Cord Injury as Business Members of the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA). SIA is a charity that provides vital support, guidance, and advocacy for people living with spinal cord injuries across the UK.

As part of that commitment, we are also proud to support Spinal Cord Awareness Day on 15th May 2026 and encourage everyone to wear green in recognition of this important campaign.

Why Spinal Cord Awareness Day Matters

Every year, Spinal Cord Awareness Day shines a light on the realities faced by thousands of people living with spinal cord injuries. It is an opportunity to raise awareness, improve understanding, and support the work being carried out to help individuals and families navigate life after serious injury.

A spinal cord injury can have life-changing consequences, affecting mobility, independence, employment, mental wellbeing, and family life. Alongside the physical impact, many individuals face financial pressures, challenges accessing rehabilitation, and the need for long-term care and support.

Awareness days like this are important because they help bring communities, organisations, and businesses together to support meaningful change.

Proud to Support the Spinal Injuries Association

The Spinal Injuries Association has been supporting people living with spinal cord injuries and their families for decades, offering practical advice, peer support, campaigning, and rehabilitation guidance.

As Business Members of SIA, we are proud to stand alongside an organisation that works tirelessly to ensure people affected by spinal cord injury have access to the support and information they need.

At Oliver & Co Solicitors, we regularly work with individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by serious and catastrophic injuries including spinal cord injuries.

We understand that recovering from a spinal cord injury is not only about medical treatment – it is also about securing rehabilitation, financial stability, accessibility, and long-term support even after our client’s cases have settled.  We have recently recovered over £3.25 million for a client who suffered an ASIA A spinal cord injury as a result of a road traffic collision.

Supporting organisations like SIA reflects our commitment to helping injured people rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.

Wear Green to Show Your Support

One of the simplest ways to get involved in Spinal Cord Awareness Day is by wearing green and sponsoring the charity.

Green is the official colour of spinal cord injury awareness, and by wearing it you can help start conversations, raise visibility, and show solidarity with those affected by spinal cord injury.

Whether you are at work, at school, or spending time with family and friends, wearing green is a simple but meaningful way to show your support.

This year, members of our team will be wearing green in support of Spinal Cord Awareness Day and helping to spread awareness across our community and professional networks.

Supporting Clients Beyond Legal Advice

As a personal injury firm, we recognise that our role goes beyond providing legal representation. We continue to support those affected by spinal cord injury, long after their case has settled.

For clients affected by spinal cord injuries, early rehabilitation, access to specialist support, and practical assistance can make a significant difference to recovery and quality of life. We work closely with medical professionals, rehabilitation experts, case managers, and support organisations to help ensure our clients receive the care and assistance they need.

We are proud to support the wider spinal cord injury community and to help raise awareness of the challenges faced by those living with these injuries every day.

Join Us in Raising Awareness
