Surgical Mistake
During the procedure, the surgeon operated on the wrong level of the spine, mistakenly performing the surgery at the L3/4 level instead of the L4/5. This error was compounded by a dural tear during surgery, which caused injury to the underlying nerve roots. Our client subsequently suffered from a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak, resulting in post-operative headaches.
