Rhiannon White

We are very happy to have welcomed Rhiannon to our family law team.

How did you become a Family Solicitor?

I studied a Law degree at the University of Leeds and then the LPC at the University of Law in Christleton. I gained a Training Contract with a firm in Chester and trained for two years to be a Solicitor. Whilst training, I spent a year in the Family department and was offered a job as a Solicitor in the team at the end of it.  I have specialised in Family Law ever since.

What made you choose Family?

Families are all different and so every case is different and brings its own challenges. To work in Family Law, you need an appreciation of many other areas of Law too, such as Property Law, Wills and Probate and Company Law and so it is never boring and always develops your knowledge. Court work is exciting and I think that Family Law can be one of the most rewarding areas to work in. I see clients at one of the most difficult times of their lives and it is great to feel that you have played a part in helping them and their family through this and hopefully on to happier times.

Why did you want to work at Oliver & Co Solicitors?

Oliver & Co has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to its clients, in a friendly way. I was confident that I would be able to continue, and hopefully enhance, this.

Where have you worked in your career so far?

I have spent most of my career working in the Chester office of the firm that I trained with. However, I was also based in their Wrexham office. I fell in love with Chester whilst studying for my LPC and am delighted to be based back in Chester once again.

What’s your favourite thing about being a solicitor?

I enjoy helping people reach the best outcome for them and to move on with their lives in a more positive way.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I am a member of Chester Theatre Club and have acted or helped backstage in many of their productions. I love performing and was recently privileged to act in a production that toured several local theatres, including Storyhouse and Theatr Clwyd. Outside of this, I enjoy going to the theatre, writing, reading, cooking and socialising with friends.
