Important update for all Employers

The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2014 will come into force on the 6 April 2014. The main changes:

The maximum amount of a week’s pay, which is used to calculate redundancy pay or the basic or additional award of compensation for unfair dismissal will increase from £450 to £464.

The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2014 will come into force on the 6 April 2014.

The main changes:

  • The maximum amount of a week’s pay, which is used to calculate redundancy pay or the basic or additional award of compensation for unfair dismissal will increase from £450 to £464.
  • The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will rise from £74,200 to £76,574.
  • The limit on the daily amount of statutory guarantee payment will increase from £24.20 to £25.00
