Lorna Settle Lorna joined Oliver & Co in October 2005 having worked with Mike Gray and Peter Barnett at a previous firm. She has been working in the area of crime for the last 10 years dealing with a variety of matters from Magistrates Court and Crown Court preparation to Prison Law cases.
During her time at Oliver and Co, Lorna has prepared various types of cases analysing evidence producing from that analysis, briefs for counsel and acting on advices to prepare case for trial and sentence as appropriate. Her caseload has included minor offences of theft, through to more serious offences of conspiracy to supply drugs, breaching ASBO’s, sexual abuse cases, rape, dangerous driving and wounding. Lorna also has experience in offences relating to military law, affray and assaults between rival football fans.
During her time at Oliver & Co Lorna has dealt with two murder cases including a double murder (R -v- Santos) and an attempt murder. Lorna assists barristers during conferences and hearings, meets with prisoners and has recently met Mr Charlie Bronson, who is assisting in a current case.
Away from work Lorna enjoys socialising, reading, walking, watching football and rugby, camping and spending time with her family.
